Universidad de la Libertad

Mexico City, Mexico

Educating in freedom for Mexico's future.

About Universidad de la Libertad

Universidad de la Libertad (UL), founded in 2023 in Mexico City, is built on the ethical principle of 'educating in freedom' — forming autonomous, critical and responsible individuals capable of questioning dogmas. In partnership with Minerva Project, UL delivers a hyper-personalized, active and entrepreneurship-driven model through a 'phygital' (physical + digital) approach powered by the Forum platform. The campus in Lomas Altas, designed by artist Rosan Bosch, breaks with traditional 'gridded' school architecture to create open, flexible and connected spaces that foster spontaneous encounters and creativity. Students choose from 50+ experiences across five areas (Academic, Professional, Student Life, Global Learning Hub and Personal), including fireside chats, Socratic circles, business bootcamps and Freedom Routes. Facilitators — not professors — are active industry leaders who guide learning through real cases. Assessment is based on learning outcomes, not traditional exams. In the WURI 2025 rankings, UL was named the most innovative university in Mexico and the 3rd most innovative in Latin America, ranking #12 globally in Ethics and Integrity and #17 in Crisis Management.

Freedom to learn is the foundation of freedom to lead.
